Facts about the cross.
The original Pope Francis Pectoral Cross is made of sterling silver and weights approximately 80gr.
This most important ornamental cross in the world now is not made by a goldsmith from the Vatican, but it is a work of a small artisan master craftsmen, Giuseppe Albrrizzi in Pavia, Italy. However, as Albrizzi explains himself, he just produced the cross but originally the design of the cross was made by his teacher, the Sculptor Antonio Vedele. "The cross was made by me, but it was drawn by my teacher, Antonio Veldele, for whom I worked until 1978. I am grateful for everything he had taught me, the teacher who created the cross of Pope Francis." (Source: UPA Federimpresa). Antonio Vedele died in 1997.
Pope Francis has been wearing this cross since he was Archbishop of Buenos Aires.

Orders Shipped to Canada
Tracking is available with all services. We recommend US Postal Service. It is less expensive and Postal Service does not charge extra fees for customs clearance, but in some cases you might be required to pick up your package. Depending on the selected shipping option, you may expect your order to arrive in ~ 4 to 10 days. FedEx is more reliable, but all packages go through customs and FedEx charges extra fees for customs clearance. We have included these fees in our shopping cart rates, and you won't be responsible for any shipping fees. You are still responsible for duties and taxes, if any.
